• The Canadian Donation and Transplant Research Program (CDTRP) is a national research network whose mission is to increase organ and tissue donation in Canada and enhance the survival and quality of life of Canadians living with a transplant.

• The CDTRP is comprised of over 200 investigators, students, collaborators, patient partners and knowledge-users at 30 sites across the country.

• The CDTRP was established in 2013, when CIHR and its partners provided $13.85 million to support the CDTRP’s formation, operations and research activities. The renewed funding of $3.3 million will continue to support the CDTRP research activities to ensure Canadian transplant patients have effective and timely access to the care they need.
