Harper Government Helps to Kick Start Canadian Entrepreneurial Businesses
The Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister for Status of Women, and Jacques Gourde, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Works and Government Services, for Official Languages and for the Economic Development Agency for the Regions of Quebec, are pleased to announce that the Government of Canada has pre-qualified 36 innovations that it may buy and test as part of the second round of the Kickstart program, also known as the Canadian Innovation Commercialization Program (CICP).

Prime Minister Stephen Harper today met with Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of Health and Minister for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency and Pujjuut Kusugak, Mayor of Rankin Inlet, on Parliament Hill to show support for Canada's sealing industry and promote it as a producer of healthy, safe and sustainable natural resource products.

The Honourable Joe Oliver, Minister of Natural Resources, today delivered the opening remarks at the Canada Mining Innovation Council's (CMIC) Signature Event 2012, where he highlighted the importance of innovation and collaboration in the exploration and mining sector.
