The personal information you provide to Health Canada will be used by the Chemicals Management Plan Program under the authority of the Department of Health Act and handled in accordance with the Privacy Act.
Why are we collecting your personal information? We require your email address to provide you with a subscription service for updates related to the Chemicals Management Plan. Your information is used to send you email updates of the latest news as they are posted on the website.
Will we use or share your personal information for any other reasons? We will only use your personal information to provide email updates. Your email address will not be used or shared without your consent.
What happens if you do not want to provide your personal information? If you choose not to provide your email address, we may not be able to send you updates about the Chemicals Management Plan. If you are a subscriber and wish to cancel your subscription, an option to unsubscribe is provided. If you unsubscribe, we will remove your email address from our subscription list. If you wish to change your subscription email, you will be required to cancel your subscription and re-subscribe.
What are your rights? You have the right to access and request a correction and/or notation to your personal information. You also have a right to complain to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you feel your personal information has been handled improperly.
