Want to help improve public
health in your community?

FluWatchers are Canadian volunteers who normally track influenza, but with the global pandemic, they're also tracking COVID-19.

Why FluWatchers needs you

Traditional ways of tracking diseases require a person to see a doctor and get tested. However, not everyone who feels sick will see a doctor. The FluWatchers program captures information on these individuals to get a better sense of illness levels in the community.

You can help public health officials identify where influenza and COVID-19 may be circulating. Just answer 2 quick health-related questions each week.

Please try to answer the questionnaire each week whether you're healthy or sick. As the number of participants increases in your area, so does the accuracy of the data. That's why we need more FluWatchers across Canada to help track influenza and COVID-19.

Anyone can be a FluWatcher. Invite your friends, family and colleagues to join.

About FluWatchers

The FluWatchers program is an important part of Canada's national influenza surveillance program, FluWatch.

Once you sign up, you'll receive an email every week asking if you had a cough or fever in the previous week. Depending on your answers, there may be a few more questions.

It only takes about 15 seconds to complete and your answers are anonymous.

We follow the rules of the Privacy Act when collecting information from you.
