public class PKIXException
extends ExceptionWithInnerException

This exception is thrown when an an error occurs during a PKIX certificate management protocol transaction. It can be used to indicate errors from any type of certificate management protocol (proto-PKIX, PKIX-CMPv1, Entrust PKIX-CMPv1 pre-7.0, and Entrust PKIX-CMPv1 7.0).

This exception provides access to the lower-level exception that is the root-cause of the problem.
