public interface ExternalReferenceResolverInterface

Defines the interface, which IXSIL relies on to resolve external URI references. An URI is said to be external, if it is neither empty nor reference-only.

resolve

java.io.InputStream resolve(URI uri)
                     throws ExternalReferenceResolverException

Returns an InputStream providing the octet stream content associated with the specified URI.

Parameters:

uri - The URI specifying a location (URL) or a name (URN). The URI must neither be empty nor reference-only.

Returns:

the octet stream associated with the specified location (URL) or name (URN).

Throws:

ExternalReferenceResolverException - if providing the octet stream fails for any reason.

setBaseURI

void setBaseURI(URI baseURI)

Sets the base URI used for absolutizing relative URIs.

Parameters:

baseURI - The base URI. Must not be null.
