I think IDEaS is a
medium for kind of bringing companies and people together.
IDEaS Marketplace gives us yet another opportunity to engage academia,
industry in general, and also some of our partners
and our government partners here and exchange ideas.
A lot of areas, a lot of challenges that we are facing from a Canadian Forces perspective
that are beyond, you know, the traditional technology
that you would think for defence.
It allows us to develop an expertise important enough
to understand what is possible, how it all works at each step.
We used the funding to get from a research idea, from award
winning papers to a prototype that we can show
that we can bring to people to actually have them test, for example,
their USB devices or their electronics for implants.
They allow you to concentrate on developing the technology.
they help fund some of the expenses upfront,
which is very big for a small company.
The hope is that this technology
will also find new pathways to help fill the gaps in defence and security
But ultimately, it will also help bolster the larger Canadian innovation ecosystem
