I purchase with my credit card whenever possible and may off the balance each month. On average, I make under 15 transactions per month with my bank account - essentially income from employer, bill payments, mortgage payments and automated transfers to my investments. I have all of my financials through the same bank. The problem? Bank account fees. It wasn't all that long ago when bank accounts earned interest. Now for a 30 transaction monthly plan it is $10/month or a minimum of $2,000.00 in the bank account to waive the fee. The basic plan for 10 transactions is $4/months or a minimum of $1,000.00 balance. With banks earning higher profits than ever, I find these fees on basic banking to be quite unreasonable.
