Honorary Colonel Andrew (Andy) George Fletcher

Mr. Andy Fletcher was appointed as Honorary Colonel of 3 Canadian Flying Training School, Portage la Prairie, MB in December 2017.

Honorary Colonel Fletcher grew up in Westbourne, Manitoba a rural community north of Portage. In 1977, he began a 40 year career in the life insurance industry with Mutual Life of Canada. His professional designations include Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

Honorary Colonel has been an active member of the community his whole life and has an extensive record of volunteerism with Rotary and the United Way. He was elected to the Portage la Prairie School Board spending six years on the board including two years as the Chairman.

Most recently, Honorary Colonel Fletcher spent nine years on the Board of the Southport Aerospace Centre Inc., serving as the Chairman from 2012 to 2014. Currently, he sits on the board of Portage and District Recycling.
