Honorary Colonel Bernard Ouellet

Mr. Bernie Ouellet was appointed as Honorary Colonel of 8 Air Communication and Control Squadron, 8 Wing Trenton, ON in January 2014.

Honorary Colonel Ouellet was born and raised in Cornwall, graduating from Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational High School in 1966. He spent a 24 year career in the Freight Transportation Industry, progressing from dispatcher to General Manager of the Eastern Area. During this period he was posted to a number of cities in Ontario and Quebec as well as one move to Calgary. Honorary Colonel Ouellet continued in the freight industry with a three-year term as Vice-President and General Manager of Canada Transport Group in Belleville, ON. In 1994, he took up his present engagement as a Partner of Rentx Group in Belleville.

Honorary Colonel Ouellet is fully engaged in a range of community activities, including as Chair and campaign Chair for United Way, Director of YMCA Belleville and a member of the Rotary Club. He also serves as the Vice-Chair of the Loyalist College Foundation and of the National Air Force Museum of Canada at Trenton, ON.

Honorary Colonel Ouellet and his wife reside in Belleville, close to children and grandchildren.
