For other regions, learn more about training by contacting your local GCWCC manager. For assistance in identifying your local United Way/Centraide, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 1: Get to Know Your Team!
In the coming weeks, campaign team members will be selected. The first three NCR key players should be selected before June 1, 2019.
Below you will find the definition of the different functions within the campaign team:
The GCWCC Champion provides strong and concrete leadership to carry out your organization's charitable campaign. His main function will be to lead a strong team of volunteers who will focus on employee engagement and fundraising activities. The champion's contribution is essential to set the tone for the campaign in your organization.
This individual will build the fundraising team. They will liaise with Communications to ensure balanced, relevant and inspiring messaging is created-for and received-by employees. They will build a robust canvassing plan that will reach all your branches and sectors in the NCR. The Campaign Leader role is multi-disciplinary and vital to maintaining the energy, awareness and focus on connecting employees to the causes they most care about.
This individual has a crucial responsibility to ensure that all donor dollars are accounted for and the appropriate licensing and documentation is in place.
*As co-managers of the campaign in the NCR, United Way Ottawa and Centraide Outaouais will be hosting Campaign Leader and Treasurer Orientation sessions – see details below.
