Canadian Coast Guard Inshore Rescue Boat Crews winding down operations in Quebec

The Canadian Coast Guard’s Inshore Rescue Boat stations in Quebec are winding down seasonal maritime search and rescue services, starting September 7 at 8:00 p.m.

Stations will close progressively throughout the region, according to the following schedule:

• Saint-Anicet: Fully closed as of September 7 at 8:00 p.m.
• Trois-Rivières, Longueuil and Beaconsfield: Open on weekends only until September 27 at 8:00 p.m.
• Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac: Open on weekends only until October 12 at 8:00 p.m.
• Sorel: Fully closed as of November 30 at 8:00 a.m.

The public can report an incident 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by calling the Quebec Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre at 1-800-463-4393 or by using a marine VHF radio (Channel 16).
