Canada 150 Skating Day – The coolest skating party of the year!

On December 10, the whole country will come together in one of the most Canadian of ways: enjoying a true northern winter sport… skating from coast to coast to coast!

We are at home on the ice so let’s lace up our skates together to enjoy our favourite winter activity and bid farewell to a memorable Canada 150 year.

Canada 150 Skating Day on Parliament Hill

What better way to close the Canada 150 year than by skating, for the first time ever, on Parliament Hill! Get your skates sharpened or dust off your blades of glory to join in the fun!

Check out the Calendar of events to find out more about how you can participate in the activities happening on the Hill as well as the free public skating schedule.

Canada 150 Skating Day across Canada

On December 10, Skate Canada will host 17 flagship skating events in cities from coast-to-coast! Community skate banks will be available at these events, allowing children without equipment the opportunity to take part. The flagship events will also feature skating exhibitions and will have coaches available to assist skaters.

Hundreds of communities across the country will also participate! Want to know where all the activities are happening? Check out our Canada 150 Skating Day Map and list of arenas.

Rogers Communications is the official sponsor of Canada 150 Skating Day.
