Manulife Canada Day Fireworks

On July 1st, watch the evening sky light up over Canada's Capital Region with Manulife Canada Day Fireworks, a must-see!

Starting at 10 pm, the 15-minute dazzling pyromusical show — with a 100% Canadian musical score — will bring this festive gathering to a close.

This year will include a total of 42 pyrotechnics, including 1 217 aerial bombs, 150 of the largest authorized bombs in Canada, for a total of 1 367 projectiles/pyrotechnic effects.

Best viewing spots

Launched from Nepean Point in Ottawa, the Manulife Canada Day Fireworks will be visible from many locations including Parliament Hill.

In Ottawa, Confederation Boulevard and Major's Hill Park offer good vantage points.

For a breathtaking view of the Manulife Canada Day Fireworks, illuminating Parliament Hill, visit the grounds along the Ottawa River at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau.


  • The Alexandra Bridge will be completely closed to all vehicles from 6 am on July 1 to 2 am on July 2. The bridge will also be closed to all pedestrians and cyclists between 9 pm on July 1 and 2 am on July 2.
  • Victoria Island is not accessible to the public due to construction work.
