Fireworks - Canada Day in the Capital region 2017
On July 1, an amazing 20-minute 17-second pyromusical fireworks show will ignite the Ottawa–Gatineau sky in a spectacular way as of 11 p.m. (weather permitting). The President’s Choice® Canada Day fireworks are a must-see this summer as we celebrate Canada’s extra special year.
This is the largest pyrotechnic show ever presented in the Capital region as part of the Canada Day celebrations. Four Season’s is the show’s theme and the soundtrack is 100% Canadian.
The fireworks will be launched from 5 different locations: Nepean Point, 4 sites along Confederation Boulevard, which includes 2 sites in Ottawa and 2 in Gatineau, resulting in a dazzling and perfectly synchronized pyromusical fireworks show.
The show will include:
- 15,000 individual fireworks set off around Confederation Boulevard
- 150 x 200 to 300 mm calibre aerial shells
- 150 x 50-mm maroons
- 150 x 75-mm maroons
