Street closures

The following is a complete list of streets that will be closed to vehicles in Ottawa, Ontario, and Gatineau, Quebec, for Canada Day celebrations.

All street closures are shown on the Google map.

The following people will be able to access streets that are closed, with the exception of Alexandra Bridge:

  • Residents (with a driver's licence as proof of residence)
  • Hotel patrons (with proof of hotel reservations)
  • Official Canada Day circulation access pass holders
  • City of Ottawa and City of Gatineau employees
  • OC Transpo and Société de transport de l'Outaouais (STO) Supervisor
  • Emergency responders

Closure of the Chaudières Traverse (Zibi)

  • Closed to vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians

Closure of the Trans Canada Trail (Ottawa River Pathway)

  • Access close to cyclists and pedestrian from the National Archives to Rideau Canal Locks:
    • From 3 a.m. on July 1 to 2 a.m. on July 2
