Street closures - Canada Day in the Capital region 2018

Below is a complete list of streets that will be closed to vehicles in Ottawa, Ontario, and Gatineau, Quebec, for Canada Day celebrations.

The following people will be able to access streets that are closed, with the exception of Alexandra Bridge:

  • Residents of the closed streets area (with a driver’s licence as proof of residence)
  • Hotel patrons (with proof of hotel reservation)
  • Official Canada Day circulation access pass holders
  • City of Ottawa and City of Gatineau employees
  • OC Transpo and Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) Supervisors
  • Emergency responders

  • Access to the Valiants Stairs, from Elgin Street and Wellington Street
  • Access to the Dufferin Stairs, from Wellington Street

  • All Pedestrian access to the Mackenzie King Bridge
