Snowflake Kingdom - New location, same fun
Snowflake Kingdom has moved to 350 Laurier Street, Gatineau, Quebec.
For the 40th edition of Winterlude, it's all about enjoying the many pleasures of winter at the new site of Snowflake Kingdom! Come and have some fun in the north end of Jacques-Cartier Park in Gatineau. Super slides, magnificent snow sculptures, digital art projection, shows and plenty more activities await you! Guaranteed fun in this huge winter playground! Come see the Ice Hog family, beloved mascots of Winterlude. The Ice Hog family lives here at Jacques-Cartier Park while visiting Canada's Capital Region each February. They love to play and give out hugs, and are happy to pose for pictures. Snowflake Kingdom is co-produced by the Ville de Gatineau and Canadian Heritage.

Check out the Crystal Garden! Take part in some winter fun while making timeless memories at Winterlude's 40th edition. Come admire dazzling masterpieces in this enchanted garden and witness a fusion of art, ice and light as ice carvers from around the world turn blocks of ice into stunning works of art. At night, special lighting turns ice-carving masterpieces into a breathtaking and mystical sight. Renowned Canadian artists will energize your Friday and Saturday evenings!
Rideau Canal Skateway
From Mackenzie Avenue to Dows Lake, Ottawa, Ontario.
An icy adventure awaits you! Grab your skates and explore the Rideau Canal Skateway! In winter, the historic Rideau Canal becomes the world's largest skating rink and offers a variety of exciting activities. The ice extends 7.8-kilometres and runs through the heart of downtown Ottawa. Vendors are located along the skateway, allowing you to rent skates, grab a warm drink or a delicious BeaverTails® pastry right on the ice. The National Capital Commission is the custodian of the world's largest skating rink.
Winterlude goes beyond the official sites! In fact, it seems like all of Canada's Capital Region gathers up to celebrate our winter traditions and culture. Thanks to the involvement of a large number of partners from across the region and all over the country, all sorts of indoor and outdoor activities are offered for your enjoyment. They include arts, culture, music, theatre, comedy, sports, culinary experiences, science and technology, and so much more! Simply put, there's something for everyone!
