I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved husband. I lost my husband of 10 years when we were both 28 years old. No matter how long you have spent together, this relationship shapes your life in many ways. Though I am Canadian, my father came from England in 1947. I have always felt close to the monarchy in my heart. My thoughts and prayers go with you.
We are very sorry for your loss. My dad was one of the first Gold Award recipients in Canada and was presented the honour by HRH Prince Philip on the Royal Yacht. My Nana, who is almost 94, recalls how thrilling it was to be aboard the yacht and see the Duke of Edinburgh. Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.

My family and I cannot imagine the depth of your sorrow at the sad passing of a life long companion, confidant, partner and husband. We have never known, in the lifetime of most Canadians, a time when Prince Philip was not a central figure in the British monarchy. It is hard to imagine him not being there.
