There was something safe and secure in her presence throughout our lives; a symbol for me of connection to our past & a beacon in our present. Her integrity, sense of humour & commitment to her subjects is inimitable. I’m proud she was ours. While it felt we all knew her because she was our queen, she was your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & I hope the sadness you feel today soon fades, leaving just pleasant memories of the good: the love, laughs and time together. God bless her.

Further heartfelt sympathy is extended to the Royal Family and to the people of Canada.
My mother Vi was 12 when the Queen had her coronation and they held a street party in her honour in Coventry. We first saw the Queen and Prince Philip in 1972 when they came through Hamilton on a train. I also was lucky enough to see the Queen up close in 2002 at Copps Coliseum when she was presenting new colours to the local regiment. We will always remember her and send our best wishes to the whole royal family at this time.
You have been the only Monarch many of us have known. You were not only a connection to our collective past in Canada and the world, but to a part of our own personal family history.
You have demonstrated a sense of duty with respect, dignity, and humour. Which may be your greatest legacy.

It is only with her passing that so many of us are realizing how much we truly admired Queen Elizabeth. She was regal yet personable, strong yet gentle, one foot firmly in the past and the other very much alive in today's world. After her many years of absolute devotion to her country and Commonweath, may she rest in God's love, along with her cherished husband, Prince Philip. This world is a smaller place without our Queen, Elizabeth II.
Que Dieu puisse l’accepter dans son paradis

We all inherit a story – the grand, the terrible, the mysterious, the banal – as individuals and as nations. My family and nation are tied to the Crown and today reckon with the legacy of empire. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II bore the weight of history with grace and compassion. We can not separate from our history, but we can try to do right in our time. The Queen was a model of doing just that, without arrogance or self-pity but with curiosity and humour. Thank you for your service, Ma'am.

To see a public figure serve for so long with such grace and class is a rare thing. In an age obsessed with the superficial your commitment to substances and service was inspirational. I am happy to have been alive to witness at least part of your 70 plus years of service.

To the family of Queen Elizabeth ll. My deepest condolences on your loss. She was a lady who provided stability and strength throughout her reign. Her warm smile is the memory I will treasure.
What a wonderful reign her majesty has had! The Queen has been an example to all of us with her dedication, humor and strong sense of duty. 2022 has been a year of change in my life having lost my father and now the queen. It is amazing how dependant I had become on having these stable influences in my life no longer be physically present. Your majesty, thank you and god bless as I am sure that Prince Philip is there waiting for you along with those many special people in your life.
My Condolences to the family. Although this great lady is now at rest she will live on in the hearts of her family, friends and all who admired and loved her. Rest in the arms of angels.
My most sincere condolences to the Royal Family, on the loss of your mother, grandmother and great grandmother. It is a loss, not only to your family, but to the world. I will keep your family in my prayers as you grieve.

A mystery of the Monarchy is the relationship that we feel with the sovereign. Familial yet unrelated, present yet remote, leading while serving. You inspired, steadied, and comforted all of us with your words and actions. Rest in Peace my Queen.
