Canadian Creative Industries Trade Mission to Dubai

The Department of Canadian Heritage is pleased to announce a Creative Industries Trade Mission to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), which will take place from February 7 to 9, 2022. This mission, organized in collaboration with Global Affairs Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service, will focus on the audiovisual and digital and interactive media sub-sectors of the creative industries.

Why Dubai?

Between October 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022, Dubai welcomes the world by hosting a World Expo, attracting 192 countries, showcasing their achievements and cultural programming in individual pavilions. Expo Dubai aims to catalyze business collaboration, stimulate innovation, and create tangible opportunities in trade and investment.

The UAE is home to a global population, enjoys excellent logistical connections throughout the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, and its open and fast-growing economy proudly tops regional rankings for ease of doing business.

This trade mission is aimed at Canadian creative companies working in the targeted sectors mentioned above, who demonstrate a high export potential, and who wish to benefit from a government-led trade mission to increase their visibility and expand their network in the UAE market by meeting and initiating deals with key industry players, potential buyers, investors and/or partners.

If you are interested in participating in this trade mission, please contact us at missioncommerciale-trademission@pch.gc.ca to receive the application form. The recruitment process for this mission will close on November 30, 2021. Only the companies and organizations that will have submitted their application form prior to this date will be considered for the official business delegation. Applicants can expect to be notified of their selection by December 6, 2021.

(As the number of places is limited, submitting an application does not guarantee being selected for the delegation.)

Note: There are no registration fees to participate in this mission, however, delegates are responsible for their travel costs and expenses. Canadian Heritage covers fees related to all components of the business program (B2B meetings / matchmaking, networking receptions, local transportation, site visits, translation/interpretation where applicable).
