Funding – Development of Official Language Communities
The Development of Official Language Communities component is part the Official Languages Funding Programs offered by the Department of Canadian Heritage. This component is designed to foster the vitality of Canada's French and English-speaking minority communities.
Funding is delivered through four sub-components:
Cooperation with the Community Sector
This sub-component supports Canadian organizations in programming and projects that contribute to community vitality.

Intergovernmental Cooperation on Minority Language Services
This sub-component helps provincial and territorial governments, directly or through the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC), provide the residents of each province/territory with the opportunity to learn English or French as a second language. In addition, this sub-component provides Canadians with opportunities for cultural enrichment through knowledge of the cultures of the other official language community.

Community Cultural Action Fund
This sub-component supports and strengthens the cultural, artistic and heritage endeavours of official language minority communities in Canada.
