Marie-Hélène Foisy

Marie-Hélène Foisy earned a B.A. in Art History, a Certificate in Document Management and Archives, and an M.A. in Museology from the University of Quebec in Montréal. Upon graduation, she worked for several years as a curator of collections at the Joliette Art Museum, where she led diverse projects focused on the conservation, management and promotion of collections. More recently, Marie-Hélène worked as a senior exhibition manager at the Canadian Photography Institute of the National Gallery of Canada. She joined the Canadian Conservation Institute in the fall of 2017 as the Manager, Treatment and Collection Care – Textiles, Paintings, Polychrome Surfaces, Heritage Furniture and Wooden Objects Division. Marie-Hélène’s work experience has allowed her to develop her passion for all that is related to conservation and management.
