Roger Baird has over 30 years’ experience in museum operations, facilities planning, strategic planning and in the management, conservation and preservation of cultural heritage resources. His post-secondary education includes a B.A. in Canadian Studies at Carleton University and a diploma in Applied Museum Studies at Algonquin College, as well as residential programs in management at the Banff Centre and the Getty Leadership Institute in Los Angeles.Prior to joining the Canadian Conservation Institute, he was responsible for collections preservation and documentation at the National Postal Museum of Canada, the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Canadian Museum of Nature. He also served the national heritage community through the Museums Assistance Program at the Department of Canadian Heritage.
