National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign
Apart but together at heart
This year’s campaign will kick off on September 9 but will be different from years past due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign will be almost entirely virtual in accordance with public health guidelines and recognizing that many members of the Defence Team are working remotely. The campaign slogan acknowledges our new reality of being apart but together at heart to assist the members of our communities.Our National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign (NDWCC) campaign provides Defence Team members with a direct line to donate to over 86,500 charities, including numerous organizations with strong ties to Canada’s military. The NDWCC strives to make a difference in the lives of those in need. In 2019 we raised over $3.5 million.
This year’s campaign focus is Wellness. As the last months have shown, it is extremely important to maintain wellness, whether physical or mental, while in this new reality. There are many charities that assist Canadians in maintaining wellness and the NDWCC will showcase several as part of the campaign.
This will be a different campaign but the Defence Team community is more than up to the challenge.
