Dear colleagues,

As National Defence Charitable Workplace Campaign Champion for 2021 – I am excited to invite your L1 to register a team to participate in this year’s annual VCDS Canoe Race on September 10! While we still have precautions in place due to the ongoing pandemic, this event promises to be a time when we can come together to raise funds for important charities across the country – and engage in some friendly competition with our colleagues!

Your L1 has the opportunity to enter a team of two paddlers – registration is on a first-come, first-served basis! All teams are strongly encouraged to raise as much money as possible... let the competition begin!!!!

Last year, in 2020, despite all of the challenges in the midst of COVID-19, we blew all previous years out of the water by raising a record of over $25,000!!! Let’s aim for another record breaking year in 2021 by coming together and demonstrating that the Defence Team truly is #StrongerTogether.
