Releasing Authority: Director of Compensation and Benefits - Administration- 8 Jul 09

Reference: CFIRP 2009

The following clarification is provided to the CFIRP 2009 Policy 11.2.13

Background

CF members are entitled to five days special (relocation) leave to facilitate returning to the former residence/place of duty to assist with the move and return to new location. DCBA has determined that there is some confusion whether additional travel time may be granted based on mode of transportation.

Clarification

In order to provide clarification to CF members who return to the former place of duty to assist with the move, article 11.2.13 is amended as follows:

CF members are entitled to five days special (relocation) leave to facilitate returning to the former residence/place of duty to assist with the move and return to new location. They will be reimbursed transportation, travelling and ILM & M expenses for:

Core benefit

  • up to five days if PMV travel time to new place of duty has already been utilized; or
  • up to five days plus travel time to new place of duty if PMV travel time to new place of duty has not already been utilized.
