MND Message: Celebrating National Public Service Week 2022

On this special week in government, I want to express my sincere appreciation to the over 24,000 public service employees across Defence.

National Public Service Week (NPSW) is a time every year for the Government of Canada to celebrate and recognize the federal public servants who work hard every day for Canadians.

Together, we've navigated through the hardest of times. Amidst these challenges, you put serving our country at the forefront, and you can all take great pride in upholding Canada's fundamental values and principles. Through everything we do here at Defence, we are "Proudly Serving Canadians".

Alongside your Canadian Armed Forces teammates, every one of you plays a unique role in serving Canadians. I am grateful to our members for continuously demonstrating the highest level of professionalism and commitment to service excellence in all areas of our organization. 

This year, we have an opportunity to connect in-person or virtually with one another and to uphold the team spirit and collaboration that defines the Defence Team. Check out #NPSW, #TogetherGC and #ServCDNs on social media to see how your colleagues across government are celebrating.

I encourage you to take time this week to reflect on your individual and collective accomplishments, and to celebrate these achievements not only this week, but throughout the year. I continue to be impressed with the work we do to serve Canadians and our country.
