Court martial for senior Canadian Armed Forces Officer

October 6, 2016 – Ottawa – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

Major-General M. N. Rouleau, Commander, Canadian Special Operations Forces Command will face a Standing Court Martial in relation to an incident on or around December 20, 2015, when his personal weapon discharged.

When: 1 p.m., October 11, 2016

What: Maj.-Gen. Rouleau is charged with one count of neglect to the prejudice of good order and discipline contrary to section 129 of the National Defence Act.

As the matter is before a service tribunal it would be inappropriate to comment further about the circumstances surrounding this case at this time; however, the hearing is open to the media and public and will take place at the following location:
