Minister of National Defence to visit Mali and Senegal

As Canada continues to investigate how it can contribute to international peace and security, Defence Minister Harjit S. Sajjan will visit Mali and Senegal from November 5-8, 2016.
During this visit, Minister Sajjan will engage with senior host government officials, foreign ambassadors, representatives from the United Nations, and non-governmental organizations to learn more about the security and defence challenges facing the region. This visit builds on discussions which were held in August during the Minister’s trip to Eastern and Central Africa, as well as his recent visit to the United Nations’ Headquarters in New York in October.
