HMCS St. John’s returns from Operation REASSURANCE

Media are invited to attend the homecoming ceremony for Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) St. John’s on July 17, 2017.
The ship and crew are returning from their deployment on Op REASSURANCE, Canada’s contribution to NATO assurance and deterrence measures aimed at promoting security and stability in Central and Eastern Europe. HMCS St. John’s departed Halifax in January 2017 to join Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 in the Mediterranean.
Rear Admiral John Newton, Commander Maritime Forces Atlantic and Commander Sheldon Gillis, Commanding Officer of HMCS St. John’s, will be available to speak to media.
