National Defence to make announcement on remediation and water treatment funding in North Bay

December 9, 2025 – North Bay, ON – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces
On behalf of the Honourable David J. McGuinty, Minister of National Defence, Pauline Rochefort, Member of Parliament (MP) for Nipissing – Timiskaming and Parliamentary Secretary to the Secretary of State (Rural Development), will make an announcement at 22 Wing North Bay regarding funding for the City of North Bay’s work to address the presence of per- and polyfluoroalkylated substances. MP Rochefort will deliver remarks and be available for media questions following the announcement.

Media are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the announcement with identification. The regular entry to building 14 is currently under construction. Please park to the rear of the building, enter through the northern entrance, pass through the mess and back up the stairs into the blue room.
