Compensation for Employers of Reservists Program: Application process

Follow the below steps to apply to the Compensation for Employers of Reservists Program (CERP):
  • Step 1: The deploying reservist employee should INFORM their employer about the program.
  • Step 2: Employers of a Reservist or self-employed Reservists, check out the Education and Social Development funding page for more information and download an application form.
  • Step 3: The employer completes an application form and submits it to Service Canada, at the end of the reservist employee’s deployment period.
  • Step 4: The application is reviewed by Employment and Social Development Canada /Service Canada and a lump sum payment is sent to eligible employers or self-employed Reservists.

The program will be managed jointly by the Department of National Defence and Employment and Social Development Canada/Service Canada.
