Cadet Activity Programs Summer 2022
Through the Cadet Program Rescope, we are making changes so more cadets can be offered a summer experience option and benefit more equitably from this new training model that includes both Cadet Activity Programs (CAPs) and Cadet Training Centres (CTCs) summer training.
Beginning summer 2022, CAPs will be delivered as follow :
- CAP Yr 1: 5-day experience that allows cadets opportunities to build confidence and meet other cadets through participation in fun, safe, challenging, and well-organized activities in their local areas. Cadet participants are generally aged 12-13 and are about to enter their second year of training at a corps/squadron.
- CAP Yr 2: 12-day experience that allows cadets opportunities to build leadership and interpersonal skills through participation in fun, safe, challenging, and well-organized activities in their local areas. Cadet participants are generally aged 13-14 and are about to enter their third year of training at a corps/squadron.

In addition to the CAPs offered to first and second year cadets, for summer 2022 we intend to offer third year or higher cadets an opportunity to participate in activities ranging from 2-7-weeks located at one of 12 centralized Cadet Training Centres (CTCs) dispersed across Canada. Cadets sixteen and older may also apply for positions as staff cadets at either CAPs or CTCs. Learn more about CTC Training opportunities.
