Protected A and Protected B

Protected A and B classifications are applied to information that if compromised, could cause injury to an individual, organization, or government.

What are the key differences?

Protected A information can be processed (completed, emailed and stored) within CCONet and Cadet365. This includes when accessing CCONet through the Remote Desktop Service. However, on Cadet365 information can only be stored in areas that are not accessible to cadets such as a Staff Team or a Private Channel. It cannot be stored on personal devices or shared with cadets.

Protected B information cannot be processed (completed, emailed or stored) within CCONet or Cadet365. This information can only be processed using the Defence Wide Area Network (DWAN) and transmitted using Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
