Accessing the DLN Learning Management System

The DLN Learning Management System is a learning management system available to all members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

All adult part-time and full-time staff of the National Cadet and Junior Canadian Rangers Support Group (Natl CJCR Sp Gp) are entitled to use the DLN. This includes Cadet Instructor Cadre officers and other members of the Cadet Organizations Administration and Training Service as well as Civilian Instructors (CI).

Members and Civilian Instructors will have a Service Number (SN) in the format of a letter followed by eight numeric digits which can be found on the back of the DND ID card (NDI 20). The SN is your DLN user name. When typing it in, do not include any additional characters, such as spaces or hyphens (e.g. A12345678).

The Natl CJCR Sp Gp and the DLN Team have partnered to create a process whereby new accounts are created and the login details are communicated automatically to the member or CI via their Canadian Cadet Organizations Network (CCO Net) email account ( No request or intervention is required. The account creation process takes up to 2 weeks from the time the member or employee's information is entered into the system following enrolment.

Initial Login and/or Password Reset

If you forgot your DLN password or it does not work, or if you have not yet received your DLN account details after the expected delay of 2 weeks, you can try using the password reset option on the DLN website. This would work in a case where your account was successfully created but a problem has prevented the automatic email confirmation from reaching you. To try this solution, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to the DLN website (you are now leaving the Government of Canada website).

Step 2. Under "Log In to the DLN LMS", click on "Forgot Your Password?".

Step 3. In the pop-up window that appears, enter your Service Number in the text field and click "Send" once, then click "Close".

Step 4. You should receive an email in your CCO Net inbox ( within 5 to 10 minutes of clicking "Send Password". If you do not receive an email, follow the instructions below to contact the DLN Help Desk.
