GCCollab Acceptable Use Policy

By accessing the National Cadet and Junior Canadian Rangers Support Group (Natl CJCR Sp Gp) version of GCcollab, I understand that:

1. Use of the Natl CJCR Sp Gp version of GCcollab is limited to authorized users and is subject to the Natl CJCR Sp Gp Security Orders and applicable Group Orders. An authorized user includes Regular Force, Reserve Force, Cadet Organizations Administration and Training Service members, and cadets and they do not require a security screening.

2. GCcollab is available for use on Canadian Cadet Organizations Network (CCO Net) assets and personal devices from the workplace or from home.

3. Natl CJCR Sp Gp information shall not be copied or otherwise transferred from GCcollab to personal devices outside the associated internet browser (Chrome) session or approved Microsoft 365 applications. Copying or transferring information to and from the CCO Net is permitted.

4. GCcollab is only authorized for processing, storage and transmission of Unclassified information.

5. GCcollab is only authorized for Unclassified conversations either written or oral.

6. All content in GCcollab is subject to disclosure under the Access to Information Act and Privacy Act.  All users are responsible for safeguarding information by applying the ‘Need to know’ principal.

7. GCcollab is intended for supporting, processing, storage and transmission of transitive information. Final versions, ready for release to the entire Natl CJCR Sp Gp, must be transferred to official records repositories in accordance with Information Management (IM) policies.

8. At the end of the summer, September 2020, all information contained in GCcollab will be transferred to the CCO Net.

9. Natl CJCR Sp Gp is not responsible for support to personal devices. Authorized users remain responsible for the usage of their personal devices and related risks to associated components and contents.

10. GCcollab is provided for use to support the Natl CJCR Sp Gp activities and business. Use of the tool for personal use is not permitted.

11. Authorized users are expected to remain alert to potential threats such as unsolicited emails, file attachments and external links accessed via the GCcollab environment.
