Air and ship's crew

Members of the air and/or ship’s crew are technical specialists who work onboard Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) aircraft and ships.  They work in teams to safely operate aircraft or ships during missions.

Air Combat Systems Officer

Air Combat Systems Officers plan, coordinate and direct the missions of aircraft and crew.


Boatswains are the seamanship specialists of the CAF.

Maritime Surface and Sub-surface Officer

Maritime Surface and Sub-Surface Officers manage the operation of ships, submarines, aircraft and other maritime systems.


Pilots fly a range of military aircraft in a variety of roles.


Stewards provide hospitality services within the Navy. However, stewards may also work in the Air Force.
