L’ALT Numérique Desjardins (L’ALT) is an organization that fosters the growth and development of an innovative and inclusive ecosystem in the La Matanie RCM. To help it maintain its momentum, the business has been awarded a $230,125 non-repayable contribution from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions. The financial assistance will allow the organization to improve its support services.

The funding was announced today by Rémi Massé, Member of Parliament for Avignon–La Mitis–Matane–Matapédia and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development. Specifically, this Government of Canada assistance will allow L’ALT to facilitate access to professional resources, acquire computer equipment, and proceed with the necessary leasehold improvements for the fit-up of workspaces for incubated businesses.

Incorporated in May 2017, L’ALT is a non-profit organization dedicated to the incubation of businesses in the emerging technologies and digital imaging sector. Its mission is to contribute to the emergence of digital sector businesses by providing an adequate, suitable and stimulating location where innovative startups can carry out their projects and ensure their growth.

Communities need to build on innovation to strategically diversify and develop sustainable regional competitive advantages. Supporting community transition and diversification is therefore a Government of Canada priority.
