FedDev Ontario investment of over $5 million to help three local manufacturers scale up and build a strong southern Ontario economy

Southwestern Ontario’s manufacturing sector is a cornerstone of Canada’s economy—producing essential goods, creating jobs and driving innovation. The Government of Canada is committed to supporting local manufacturers and innovators as they adopt advanced technologies, scale up their operations, and deliver smarter, more sustainable solutions.

Today, the Honourable Arielle Kayabaga, Deputy House Leader of the Government and Member of Parliament for London West visited Hydra Dyne Technology Inc., a manufacturer of hydraulic components for the defence, aerospace and automotive sectors. On behalf of the Honourable Evan Solomon, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), she announced a combined repayable investment of over $5 million for three southwestern Ontario manufacturers: Hydra Dyne Technology Inc., Future Transfer Co. Inc., and Melnik Resources to help scale operations, adopt advanced technologies, and strengthen local supply chains.

Hydra Dyne Technology Inc. is receiving $2 million to support the expansion of its manufacturing capabilities for hydraulic components with the adoption of advanced automation equipment. These upgrades will enable the company to meet increasing demand while minimizing waste and strengthening local supply chains for heavy equipment used in many essential industries.

Headquartered in Tillsonburg, Future Transfer Co. Inc., a full-service supply chain provider specializing in logistics and materials handling, is receiving $2.5 million to install advanced automated equipment and build a fully integrated Ontario-based crop protection supply chain. This investment will enable Future Transfer to increase its on-site manufacturing capacity, boosting efficiencies and better serving global agri-chem firms—reducing reliance on imports and strengthening local resilience.

Melnik Resources in Mount Brydges is receiving more than $530,000 to modernize its facility with advanced systems and a new laser cutter. This investment will strengthen the company’s ability to deliver customized metal solutions and support continued growth across audiovisual and other manufacturing sectors, including food and retail.
