Official title: Appeals and reprisal complaints – Transfer of adjudicative functions to the Canada Industrial Relations Board

Important message

Starting on July 29, 2019, you must file with the Canada Industrial Relations Board for:

  • appeals for payment orders, notices of unfounded complaint and notices of voluntary compliance
  • reprisal complaints where the reprisal happened on or after July 29, 2019

If you filed an appeal with the Labour Program before July 29, 2019, the Labour Program will send it to a wage referee

For unjust dismissal complaints and complaints about genetic testing:

  • If you file your complaints on or after July 29, 2019, the Labour Program will send them to the Canada Industrial Relations Board for resolution.
  • If you filed your complaints before July 29, 2019, the Labour Program will send them to an adjudicator.
