Service Canada starts using email to reach Employment Insurance clients
Starting June 2019, if Service Canada needs more information about your Employment Insurance claim and cannot reach you by phone, a Service Canada agent will send you a toll-free number to the email address that you provided, asking you to call an agent. Please note that you won't be able to respond to that email.
How to recognize an email from Service Canada
Emails from Service Canada will never:
- contain your personal information
- ask you to send any information by email
