Champions for departmental initiatives
Departmental Champions are senior executives who, in addition to carrying out their regular responsibilities, act as spokespersons to help achieve departmental objectives. They also promote programs and initiatives within the Department.
The Champions are responsible for:
- Promoting the program, initiative or Community of Practice within the Department;
- Making recommendations on initiatives and events;
- Working closely with their senior management colleagues;
- Making presentations with respect to the people, initiative or Community of Practice at management committees;
- Attending events, workshops, etc.; and
- Chairing advisory committees.
