Government of Canada welcomes the introduction of legislation to support good quality jobs

On Thursday, November 15, the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, will highlight recently tabled legislation that would modernize federal labour standards to better protect Canadian workers and help set the stage for good quality jobs. While in Vancouver, she will meet workers from GCT Vanterm, Via Rail, and the Shaw Centre.

Note: All vehicles coming to GCT Vanterm must enter through the Heatley overpass.

Directions from downtown Vancouver: Head east on Cordova Street. Turn left (north) at Heatley Avenue. Head straight onto Heatley overpass. Follow Centennial Road East, and pass Rogers Sugar. Just after Clark Drive overpass, turn left (north) and then right (east) to head into GCT Vanterm.

NOTE:  Due to strict security, please confirm attendance 24 hours prior to the event by emailing: media@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca. Not doing so will cause delays at the security check points. Please arrive no later than 9:00 a.m.
