Parents of Murdered or Missing Children (PMMC)

The Federal Income Support for Parents of Murdered or Missing Children (PMMC) grant is an income support grant available to applicants who have suffered a loss of income from taking time away from work to cope with the death or disappearance of their child or children as a result of a probable Criminal Code offence.

To apply for the PMMC income support grant, applicants must submit a PMMC Employment Form. Each of the applicant’s recent employers must fill in this form to confirm that the applicant has earned a minimum of $6,500 in total in the previous calendar year or the 52 weeks immediately prior to the incident and that they are on leave from all employment.

When filling out the PMMC Employment Form for one of your employees, you must confirm:

  • that your employee has stopped working due to the incident or is unable to return to work due to the incident
  • the date your employee stopped working, and
  • the employment earnings of your employee

It is the applicant’s responsibility to submit the forms to Service Canada once they have been completed to the following address:

PMMC Payment Processing Centre

Service Canada may contact you to confirm or update the information provided on the form
