Welcome to the Adding a Secondary Service Provider demonstration.
To add a secondary Service Provider open the Service Provider screen from the Administration Menu.
Select the Add a New Record button. This will open the Assign Secondary Service Provider ID screen. The 9 digit site ID will be the same for all service providers at the site and cannot be changed. Choose two letters from the drop-down menus to distinguish this service provider from others at the site. Select the blue checkmark.
Enter the name of the secondary Service Provider.
In the top half of the screen, enter the Service Provider’s phone number, fax number, email and Umbrella Organization, if applicable.
If needed, enter a cut-off time. This indicates at what time the date will be considered the next day if the shelter accepts late book-ins. For example, if you set the cut-off time for 02:00 the day will end at 02:00 instead of midnight.
In the Service Provider Type field, select the value that most closely describes the primary purpose of the service provider. In the Target Clientele field, choose the value that best represents the clients served.
You can then choose the specific gender(s) served by selecting the appropriate checkbox(es).
To add other services that are offered at the service provider, select the Services Offered button. From the Available column, double-click each value that applies, or highlight and hit Enter to move it to the Selected column. To add the services and exit the screen, select the blue checkmark.
If the service provider works with families, you must select the Serves Families check box. This will allow you to access the Family Management screen.
To enter the Address of the Service Provider, select the Address tab. The province and country will be pre-filled with the information entered for the Primary Service Provider. The City is a mandatory field. If the service provider is in a First Nation’s community, select the First Nations button to see this list in the City drop-down menu. Enter the rest of the address information.
Select the Save changes button to save the information you have entered.
This is the end of the Adding a Secondary Service Provider demonstration.
