Welcome to the demonstration on Barring a Client.
In this demonstration, you will learn how to use the Barred window in the software to prevent clients being booked-in to a shelter.
Start in the Reception screen.
To bar a client or edit his or her barred record, use the Barred button. Note that clients who are already booked-in to a shelter cannot be barred.
After opening the Barred window, you must input the dates the client will be barred from the shelter.
Next, indicate which shelters the client will be barred from. You can choose as many service providers as necessary in this screen.
Add a description of why the client is being barred and then save the record and close the window.
In the Reception window, if a client is barred from all Service Providers, their name will be highlighted red, the Barred button will be red and the Book-in Button will be disabled. If a client is only barred from some Service Providers, the client's name, the barred button and the book-in button will all be orange.
This is the end of the Barred demonstration.
