Members

The committee has 15 members from outside of the government.

Compensation, travel and accommodation

Committee members are volunteers. They will not receive financial compensation for the National Advisory Committee activities.

Eligibility

To apply, you must be 18 years of age or older as of March 1, 2021 and be a:

How we assess your application

You need to describe how you meet the following criteria:

  • knowledge of the role and value of volunteering in addressing 1 or more social needs:
    • individuals
    • families
    • communities
  • experience volunteering or working with an organization to support community development in any of the following sectors:
    • municipality
    • health
    • social services
    • service provider
    • private
    • non-governmental or not-for-profit organization
    • post-secondary
  • communicate clearly in writing
  • analyze information and recommend
  • take part in a diverse group to build consensus

Other considerations

  • Ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset
  • We may request your references
