Make an impact

Transcript

We asked young Canadians how we can make an impact in our communities...

You can make an impact. You just have to want to do it. You need to be inspired and you need the tools to do it—and your friends too, because it’s important.

Don’t be afraid to get involved. It can seem like a big thing. It can seem like it will take up a lot of your time, but really, after a while it doesn’t seem so big anymore. You get involved so much that it just becomes a routine and you have a lot of fun. And after, when you see the end result, it’s just perfect.

I try to get involved as much as I can so that the future generations and other girls around me—younger kids—can look up to me and see that, "Yes, I can do it too, I can be a leader, I can participate." So to me, it’s really important.

The world has a lot of problems. And if we get all the youth of our generation together, if we all get together, we can make a big impact. And our world can become a better place.
