Service Canada must receive your application and the required supporting documents no later than June 30 of the calendar year following the date you complete your apprenticeship and became certified in your trade.

Online application: Once you have submitted your online application, you must mail your documents to an Apprenticeship Grant processing centre or deliver them to a Service Canada Centre near you. We must receive them no later than 28 days (four weeks) after your online application has been submitted. For mailed documents, be sure the postmarkFootnote 1 date is on or before the deadline.
Paper application: If you are using a paper application, you can bring your application and required supporting documents to a Service Canada Centre or you can mail your application and documents. For mailed documents, be sure the postmark date is on or before the deadline.

If you cannot submit your supporting document before the June 30th deadline
Service Canada must receive all AG applications on or before June 30th of the calendar year following the date you completed your apprenticeship and became certified in your trade. If you do not have the required supporting documents, contact your provincial or territorial apprenticeship authority and submit your online application or your paper application on or before June 30th. Service Canada will honour the date of your online application or the postmarkFootnote 2 date on your mailed application. Please submit your supporting documents as soon as possible. Your supporting documents must be received no later than 28 days (four weeks) after the date of receipt of your application.
Eligibility after receiving an incomplete application notification because you did not submit your supporting documents
If your original application was submitted on or before the June 30 deadline of the calendar year following the date you completed your apprenticeship and became certified in your trade, Service Canada will honour your original date. Please re-submit your application and supporting documents as soon as possible.

You must complete a separate application form for each year/level (or equivalent)
A separate application is required for each grant that is being requested.
Length of time to process an ACG application
Once we have received your complete application and all required supporting documents and you are deemed eligible, you can expect the grant payment to be processed in 28 calendar days.
