Enabling Accessibility Fund – Youth Innovation Component - funding program

We are looking for young Canadians to help make Canada more accessible for persons with disabilities.

The Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) is looking for dynamic youth who want to demonstrate leadership and a commitment to their communities. Through this process, youth volunteer their time to build a more accessible Canada.

Application period:
May 30, 2024, to October 4, 2024, at 3:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)
Who can apply:
Youth between 15 to 30 years of age at the time of the application; legally entitled to work in Canada; and, either a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or individual who has been granted refugee status in Canada

Information sessions

The Department will hold information sessions virtually for those who are interested in becoming Youth Accessibility Leaders (YALs) as well, for organizations interested in applying for funding.

The dates for the sessions are as follows:

  • August 28, 2024, at 1:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (English)
  • August 29, 2024, at 1:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (French)
  • September 25, 2024, at 1:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (English)
  • September 26, 2024, at 1:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (French)

Please specify your name, date you prefer of the dates above and indicate in your email if you require an accommodation to participate. Requests for sign language interpreters or Communication Access Real-time Translation (CART) must be made a minimum of 10 business days prior to the information session.
